Tanny McTannerson

Hola friends and family! As you can see in pic, that is Brianne, Laura and me in front of the m.s. Zaandam. Now that you're all home from vacation we can start having some proper blog comments again! I was getting so bored, checking the blog every day and no new comments coming! I'm doing well today, we are at sea but I have fantastic teens this cruise so my job is really quite enjoyable. Today we had a scavenger hunt, played scattergories (which I ROCK AT) played arcade games and made hemp bracelets. Tonight is name that tune (RED RIVER VALLEY!!) and kareoke which I also love. What a fun day! Tomorrow we are in Aruba but I have IPM so I'll probably be working in the library and laying by the pool. I'll be hme in two months and three days, so mark your calendars! I want to go to Green Lake for a while when I get home in June, before I find a job and cant take a few days off...Granny, when is good for you? We will party hardy, find us a piano bar and get crazy on Southern Comfort Old Fashioneds! Whoo Hoo! Linny you better come too, and Jason. Replay of our childhood years. Maybe grandpa will even sing the sick cow song and on the way home we will sing "turn the car around the other way....back it up and stop on yesterday....down on our knees, we beg you please, to turn the car around the other way...." Yes I think this is a brilliant plan and it must be followed at all costs. Mid-June. Let's make it happen. Okay I'm hyper tonight so I will go to the gym and run a few miles.

love to all

Amy,
Your blog brought tears to my eyes.
What happy memories! We're on our way to GL this AM.It'll be a clean-up weekend because Auntie L is going up the first weekend in May with a group of her friends. Only one other girl is in on the surprise weekend. They are making arrangements with the other husbands to babysit and then telling the girls to pack for a casual two day weekend. They are going to bring videos, music, aroma therapy items and see if they can get a massuse (?) to come to the house. Grandpa and I have to go and spiffy the place up.
By mid June I should be mobile enough to go to GL but I won't be doing the Macarena!
Luv to all.......Granny

Hi Ame!!Looks like you are having the time of your life...good for you!Travel Teddy looks pretty happy, too.We had a wonderful time on our trip.I wish we could live on the ship.We hated to get off.DW was lots of fun.We pretty much got on all the rides and saw all the shows, etc. that I had on my index cards.(Gotta stay organized with a big group)We had a blast on the Test Track,Rockin Rollercoaster,Splash Mountain, Expedition Everest and all the other awesome rides. It was really great to spend time with the Stollers and G&G.I think all went well considering there were 12 of us-half kids. Our dinners on the ship were really nice. All the food was the best!I even managed to lose 3 pounds!!That is thanks to Uncle Ron RUNNING through DW and me trying to keep up with him (with two kids hanging on me at all times.)Castaway Cay is beautiful-I was thinking how peaceful it would be to live there...we (the O's) petted stingrays-in the ocean!Steve and Sammi were a little freaked but did OK.I have a million pics to show you when you get home.Like Granny said, Mom, Dad and Jason came over for za the other night-that was really nice.Linny I wish you could have come, too. Please call me and come by any time!!I got an OK tan-not as good as I would have liked but OK.I don't plan on fading-I'm using a sunless tanning bronzer to stay brown!(All my vacation clothes will look sick if I get pastey again.)We really like MGM-there are alot of cool shows there.I love the early Hollywood feel to the place. As Granny said,we came home to a very dark house and of course all the flashlight batteries were dead. After fishing out our toothbrushes by candlelight we got a few hours of sleep-then Stevie started with the stomch flu!He was better by Tuesday afternoon, though.Really for 12 of us traveling 11 days-nobody got hurt, sick or lost. That's pretty fortunate, don't you think? The Polynesian is beautiful.I think I would only stay there from now on.We are also considering the seven day Caribbean cruise for next time.(Finances willing).Man, you can eat yourself silly on those boats!!24 hours a day!Our waiter was AWESOME.What a nice guy and sooo funny. You can really relax on a ship.Unless, of course you are tending to 52 children, eh Ame?How'd that go anyway?June will be here before you know it.That GL trip sounds like alot of fun for you Thorn kiddos.I love the pics you post.Ahh-to be young (enough
to wear a bikini and look like that in it)again.Stay safe-WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN and RE-APPLY.We miss you and can't wait to see you. Hi Rob! Hope you're doing well.Linny-please call me-let's do coffe or something.Jas-it was great to see you and the P's.I'm going to check out Jasons blog now.Oh, by the way, all four of my kids are going to be playing baseball starting soon-if anyone is interested I will send out copies of when and where they will be playing if you want to catch a game here or there.P.S. Mom's 1 year anniversary is coming up soon-we(in town)should celebrate with her...yes?Love to all. Auntie La
