How come it's not all hanging down? That's some pretty heavy duty hair spray you must have in there! ;-}

Hi, I'm still chuckling from you and Linny in yesterday's comments. The whole cactus/rain, fat kid/cake deal. You two are a riot.

Nice haircut, Amy. I'm needing one myself. I think I want to go shorter for summer, too. Have to talk to the hairdresser about that. I always leave it in her capable hands.

So are you still in the Atlantic or are you in the Pacific now? I got a little confused the other day because you said you were going thru the Canal, but then the next time you were somewhere in the Caribbean. Where exactly are you? When do the Alaska cruises start?

Well, smells like dinner is almost ready. Having left overs tonight, but good ones...pork tenderloin and homemade mashed potatoes which Emmy says are "delicious, delectable, scrumptious, irresistable" to name a few adjectives.

Love you, Auntie J.

Today we are headed to Aruba...when we were in the Canal before we were only going halfway in, then back out again. When we go thru this time, we go all the way thru, to the Pacific. We get to Seattle on May 5 and then will be doing Alaska runs from then on. I bet its going to be gorgeous!

On another note, I just found out that I was selected for the McCormick-Tribune Foundation Fellowship, which means they will pay 100% of my grad school tuition!!! WOW!!! Thats about $70,000!!! All because I want to study community development and help low-income neighborhoods. See?? Social work really does pay off! And grandpa was worried when he saw me marching thru the streets of downtown Chicago in protest...

love to all

Rob...All's forgiven (I thought your comment was pretty funny).
Amy, CONGRATULATIONS from Grandpa & I!!! He says, "Tell her I'm proud of her but I'm still going to worry about her marching in the streets!". This AM we are meeting the Kleffman's & Yankoe's for breakfast in Glen Ellyn (it's an even distance for each of us). Then I have to go downtown for one last shot of Procrit before surgery next Tuesday. Tonight we are going to dinner with the Emrichs. Tomorrow Grandpa has an early AM appointment with our Dr. (check-up) and while he's there Auntie La is going to cut my hair. When he comes back he'll show her how to send her vacation pictures to her Australian friend who now lives in Hong Kong. Friday night Emmy & Jaimee have their dance recital at Ridgewood and Saturday we're taking the John's to dinner for puppy-sitting while we were gone.
Got to move fast now ...we're meeting at 9:00 AM today.
Congratulations again, (people are going to get sick of hearing us brag about you)!!
Luv to All.........Granny
