I'm a little mopey today...

Hi Guys,

So here I am on day 3 of my contract. We're at sea today so Ill be pretty busy working from 11-12, 2-6, 6:30-7:30 and 9-11. I just have a few minutes before my first activity so I wanted to say hi. So far things are fine, but not the same as last time. A lot of people I kow are still here, but all the other Club HAL girls I worked with are gone. My new boss is nice but very strict and definitely won't be hanging out with me in the OB (officer's bar). It's a very different atmosphere now and not nearly as much fun. I'm kinda homesick. I'm sure it will go away once I get in the swing of things though. I haven't gotten off the ship yet because I won't get my ID till later today. Oh boy, they just announced a crew fire drill. Gotta run. More later.

Hey honey. Sorry you're feeling mopey today. I'm sure you'll feel much better when you can get off the ship and visit some cool ports. I heard there's some kind of boyfriend on board program. Any truth to that? lol. Love, Rob

Hi Ame,

Sorry to hear you've got the blues. Hope things pick-up soon. Just be glad you're in warm weather. It's supposed to be very cold in Chgo by the weekend, like highs in the teens! Brrrr!

It was great to see you a little on your visit home. Jaimee actually has strep throat - good thing she stayed home. By now she's on meds and not contagious and feeling just as bouncy as ever.

Sounds like you have a busy schedule today. Sounds like my day today! Just taking a few minutes to check my e-mails before I have to clean this house since we're having a Bible study group here tonight. Gotta round up the dust bunnies first.

We all love you and hope you start having some fun!!

Love, Auntie J

Hi Guys! Good to hear from you all! I'm feeling a lot better now, I had a fun day with the teens and we are going to have a good night tonight of "Name That Tune". Auntie Donna- congrats on the wedding and the baby! I will be home this fall (hopefully...as long as I get into University of Chicago) so I will definitely see you in November if not sooner! Is Jeff really excited about the wedding? It will be great to see you guys! Auntie Julie-that stinks that Jaimee has strep. I used to get that every year. It's the worst. I have to say though, I'm glad she didn't come to dinner and get me sick! If I got on the ship with that, I'd be quarantined!!! I am feeling a lot better now, and hopefully even better tomorrow if I get to go ashore in Aruba for a few hours! we are docked from 1pm-midnight but I have to work from 5-6 and again from 9-11 so I wont have a whole big block of time to go off. Still, I will try to get some sun in the afternoon and maybe go off again for dinner. I'm also supposed to start my workout plan tomorrow so I have to fit that in somewhere...ok internet is $$$ so I'll say buye for now. Thanks for the posts, it makes being away much easier!

Hi Amy,

Glad to hear that things are picking up. How many kids are on board? Lucky for you, you won't have our group in March. You'd really earn your money!! Grandpa's Mother is home from the hospital but won't know for about two weeks if the treatment worked or not. So far things look good. I thought you would be working with the same crew this time. Maybe things will get better as you get to know each other. Your Mom dropped off a book
for us to read. She had been in Evanston painting all day and was dead tired. Jason will be home today and I hear that Daisy is gone to a friend (or enemy). Only five weeks till our trip and we're all excited (it's not just "all in a day's work" like some people I know) and we have to pay for it besides! Love you and miss you. Let us know as soon as you decide on a school.

Luv Granny
